Are you interested in being in the Eat:Drink Calderdale guide?

Read on to find out more about our plans and how it will benefit your business

Eat:Drink Guides is an expanding series of food & drink-led visitor guides, profiling the best cafes, bars restaurants and local producers in your area. The guides are a useful resource for local residents looking to discover somewhere new as well as visitors looking to get to know an area. The guides come in a handy pocket-sized format and are also packed with useful information on local tourist attractions and major events.

Why Calderdale?

Calderdale is a great place to live and a fantastic place to visit with a well established food and drink scene that includes quality bars, traditional pubs, thriving restaurants and some superb local producers.

Add that to an emerging crop of exciting new independent venues at the top of their game, we think the local food and drink scene is as good as ever and that it deserves a platform to show that off.

How does the guide work?

The guide will be split into sections by area (e.g.. Halifax, Brighouse, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden).
Each area will have an intro page with overview information and contents. This will be followed by up to 4 pages of information on visitor destinations including useful travel information. The profiled venues within that area are then presented in alphabetical order, with iconography to indicate the type of venue/cuisine.
This will make the guide easy to navigate and useful when planning a day out or an extended stay.

What does it look like?

The guides are printed to A6 portrait on high quality uncoated stock with a hard-back spine. To the right is an example of a standard profile page.

When will it be published?

Eat:Drink Calderdale Volume 1 is scheduled for release in autumn 2019.

Where will it be distributed?

We will be printing 15,000 copies of the guide. These will be distributed to all participating venues and over 50 tourist hotspots across the district.

What areas are covered?

Eat:Drink Calderdale covers Brighouse, Elland, Halifax, Sowerby Bridge, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.

What venues are eligible?

Eat:Drink Calderdale accepts applications from restaurants, bistros, cafes, coffee houses, public houses and local producers including breweries, bakeries, butchers or anyone creating exciting local produce.
