Description

page order furosemide online

Certainly the most historic and oldest pub in Harrogate, originating as one of the first inns for spa visitors after sulphur wells were first established in the mid-18th century.

The main lounge bar preserves its historic character with mirrors, taxidermy displays and other interesting features & fittings from the Victorian era, including fully working gas lighting and bar mounted cigar lighters.

The smaller Georgian style Vaults bar which previously traded as a wines and spirits merchant was refurbished in 2013 uncovering original wooden ship beams, a stone display alcove and fireplace now with a more traditional real log burner.

This room is available for private functions and meetings accommodating 30 guests. There is also a secret garden at the rear; weekly entertainment includes karaoke, open-mic sessions and an ultimate cheese disco.

Included in many novels, historic pub guides and newspaper articles, it was used by Sir John Barbirolli as his favourite when the Halle Orchestra visited the town; it was also used for interior scenes in the 1981 film Chariots of Fire and DCI Banks in 2012.
